Preparing a centralized quality management system to support a manufacturing site in Germany and undergo a third-party audit.
Project scope
The project involved aligning processes at the client's remote support location with IATF 16949 requirements. It covered purchasing and supplier management, HR, IT, risk management, logistics and sales. The centralized quality management system was previously certified only to ISO 9001:2015 and needed to be adapted to meet IATF 16949:2016 requirements.
The processes at the remote support location were to replace those performed at a recently acquired manufacturing site in Germany. The challenge was to transfer processes already established within the German quality management system, with its own arrangements, to a support location operating under a different set of system arrangements.
